What is Talantor? The independent portfolio tracker at a glance

Talantor is the independent portfolio tracker for stocks, ETFs and funds. What the product does, what it deliberately is not, where the data comes from and who is behind it.

Key takeaways

  • Talantor is an independent portfolio tracker for stocks, ETFs and funds: you see in one place what your portfolio is worth, how it is performing and what it pays out.
  • Talantor is not a broker: securities are not bought, sold or held here. You record your activities, and Talantor calculates your portfolio from them.
  • All figures are based on real market data. The service runs on servers in Germany.

What is Talantor?

Talantor is the independent portfolio tracker for stocks, ETFs and funds. It runs in your browser and answers the questions a broker's portfolio overview usually leaves open: What is my portfolio worth today? Where does the change come from? How is my money spread? When is the next dividend due, and how much is it likely to be?

Independent means: Talantor is not tied to any broker or bank. You can analyse holdings from several accounts together, wherever they are held.

What Talantor does

  • Overview in real time - portfolio value, daily change and every position with live prices.
  • Allocation and analysis - distribution by position, type and region, plus performance over any period you choose.
  • Dividends - distribution history, a calendar of upcoming payments and a forecast derived from the actual history rather than from estimated growth rates.
  • Performance heatmap - monthly returns as a matrix, so patterns across the years become visible.
  • Activities and cash - buys, sells, dividends and clearing accounts recorded transparently, also via CSV import.
  • Multiple portfolios - each portfolio on its own or all of them together in a combined view.

Which analytics the free plan includes and what the paid plans unlock on top is on the pricing page.

What Talantor is not

  • Not a broker or custodian bank. Talantor does not hold any securities and does not execute orders. You still buy through your broker.
  • Not investment advice. Talantor shows data and analytics but makes no recommendations.
  • No selling of data. There is no third-party tracking and there are no advertising cookies.

Where the data comes from

The Talantor server fetches prices, dividends and master data from Yahoo Finance; the request comes from the server, not from your browser. Forecasts are calculated from your actual distribution history. Estimated or made-up values appear in none of the analytics - where data is missing, the display stays empty instead of inventing a number.

Who is behind it

Talantor is a one-person project with no investors. It is hosted at Hetzner in Germany, and your portfolio data stays in the EU. The full provider details are in the imprint, more about the project on the About Talantor page.

Try it out

The live demo runs in your browser with example data, no sign-up needed - the quickest way to see whether the analytics suit you. After that, the Free plan stays free for good.
